Who can use Bilby
You must be 18 or older. Taking part in the beta is voluntary. Access is offered through TestFlight invitations, including our public invitation link, subject to availability and any in-app admission requirements. By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
What Bilby is
Bilby is a gratitude journal with friends-only sharing. It is not a medical, mental health, crisis, or emergency service, and nothing in Bilby is clinical advice. Nobody monitors Bilby for emergencies.
If you or someone else may be in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the US, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Your account
One account is for one person. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so keep the Apple ID or email you sign in with secure.
Your content
You own what you write, whether it’s a private entry, a card, or a comment.
You give Bilby a limited license to store, process, display, and send your content only as needed to run, secure, moderate, export, and improve the service, following our Privacy Notice and your choices. The license ends when you delete the content, except for the limited backup, safety, and legal retention the Privacy Notice describes.
Community rules
These apply to everything you share: your handle, display name, cards, comments, and anything else other people can see. They never give Bilby a reason to read your private journal.
Do
- Respond to other people’s gratitude with care, not ridicule or competition.
- Respect boundaries, blocks, removals, and requests to stop contacting someone.
- Share only what you have the right and permission to share.
Don’t use Bilby for
- Threats, harassment, bullying, hate, or dehumanizing attacks.
- Sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Encouraging or explaining self-harm, violence, or dangerous acts.
- Scams, impersonation, spam, coordinated manipulation, or anything illegal.
- Posting someone else’s sensitive or identifying information without their permission.
- Infringing intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Safety and moderation
You can block people and report anything shared. A report hides that item from you right away, but doesn’t remove it for everyone automatically.
Bilby may hold shared content while automated checks or a person reviews it. Outcomes include approving it, asking you to edit it, hiding it, a warning, suspension, or closing an account. Your private journal is never part of this review. Where an appeal applies, you can make one through Contact.
Sharing outside Bilby
If you export a card or share it somewhere else, people and services outside Bilby can copy or pass it on. We can’t recall copies that have left Bilby.
Bilby is in beta
Pre-release software can have bugs, lose drafts that haven’t synced, change without notice, or be unavailable. Don’t make Bilby the only copy of anything important. We may switch features off to protect privacy, safety, or your data.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app, or by emailing support@heybilby.com. Deletion follows the process and limited retention described in the Privacy Notice.
No warranties
The beta is provided “as is” and “as available” for testing. To the fullest extent the law allows, Bilby makes no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
About these terms
Bilby is operated by AIM HERE TO HELP LLC. If you have a concern about these terms or the service, please contact us. Nothing in these terms takes away rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes and contact
When we make a material change, we publish a new version of these terms and, when needed, ask you to accept it again in the app.
